As per the central govt’s scheme, the District Authorities recruit Aapda Mitra Time to Time. The purpose of the scheme is to train the Community Volunteers in Disaster Response.

At times of crisis, such as floods, flash-floods, and urban flooding, the scheme intends to provide Aapda volunteers with the knowledge and abilities they’ll need to deliver quick assistance and rescue to their neighbours in need.

The National Disaster Management Authority will train around 100,000 Volunteers in 350 vulnerable districts under the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for Aapda Mitra Volunteers

Minimum Educational Qualification	Class 7 Pass
Other Criteria	Medical Fitness

Candidates who have passed class 7 from a school under a recognized board, can apply for the post. Also, they must be physically, emotionally and mentally fit to carry out the work. For this, they need to submit medical fitness certificate to the concerned recruiting authority.

Age Limit for Apod Mitra Recruitment

Minimum Age	18 Years
Maximum Age	40 Years

For Apod Mitra Posts, one must be within 18 to 40 Years old. The age limit will be calculated as on 01/01/2023.

For Ex-serviceman, Civil Engineers, Medical Professional the upper age limit may be relaxed.
