The following are the stages that will be included in the recruitment process for the Indian Army Agniveer position:
- 1. A test of one’s physical fitness.
- 2. A test of one’s physical measurements.
- 3. Medical test.
- 4. Written test (Common Entrance Exam).
Candidates having a 10th/ 12th (Science) qualification with at least 50% marks or a 2 Years Vocational Course certificate are eligible to apply.
Education is a requirement for eligibility as an Agniveer in the Indian Army.
The following are the educational requirements for each post:-
(i) (General Duty) Agniveer (All Arms):-
Class 10th / Matric with an overall grade of 45% and an average of 33% in each subject. For boards using the grading system, individual subjects must receive a minimum D grade (33 percent to 40 percent) or an equal grade that contains 33 percent, and the entire aggregate must receive a minimum C2 mark (or an equivalent grade).
(ii) Agniveer (Tech):-
Passed the 10+2/intermediate exam in science with a score of 50% overall and 40% in each of the following subjects: physics, chemistry, math, and English.
(iii) Adapter Tech (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner):-
Aggregate 10+2/Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
(iv) Technical Agniveer Clerk / Storekeeper (All Arms):
Intermediate Exam, 10+2 Pass in any major (Arts, Commerce, Science) with a minimum of 50% in each subject and 60% overall. A minimum score of 50% is required in English, Math, Accounting, and Bookkeeping in Class XII.
(v) Tradesmen of Agniveer (10th pass, All Arms):-
- (a) A easy pass in Class 10
- (b) There was no requirement for the overall percentage, but each subject’s score needed to be at least 33 percent.
(vi) Tradesmen of Agniveer (All Arms) eighth pass:-
- (a) Simple pass in Class 8
- (b) There is no need for the overall percentage, however, the student should have received 33 percent in each.
Agniveer Age Limit Criteria
The age limit for applying for the Indian Army Agniveer Rally recruitment is listed below-
- The age of interested applicants must be between 17½ to 23 years old.
- For 2022 batches 2 years of relaxation is provided by the government.
- Age Relaxation is provided to SC/ST/PH/OBC/PWD according to government regulation.
Physical Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer
For GD post-Agniveer must have 179 cm height and 77 cm chest along with the expansion of 5 cm.
For the post of clerk/store/keeper/technical post, the applicant must have 162 cm height and the chest must be 77 cm with 5 cm expansion.
For a tradesman, the height must be 170 cm and chest measurement should be 77 cm with 5 cm of expansion.
The weight of the candidate is proportionate to the height of the candidate.
