What is Sabuj Sathi Scheme?
The Chief Minister of West Bengal has came up with a plan in order to help students of West Bengal by providing them Bicycle which helps students in various purpose. The motive behind this scheme is to help the children of our state to live a comfortable life. As we all know the economic condition of our state where families are not able to afford the travelling expenses of their children in order to travel their Schools and this is an ignored but a serious case of our country. So Government is distributing around 10 lakh bicycle to every eligible students of West Bengal.

With the help of this Sabooj Sathi Scheme, some students those who belong from economically weak family will be able to travel their school without any trouble or delay. This helps students to focus on their studies well and also saves their families from travelling expense. In different rural regions of West Bengal, most of the children was not able to go their schools because of the lack of travel facility and distance.

- Also Sabooj Sathi scheme has an effective Assembly line with total number of 3500 fitters which assembles 20000 bicycle daily.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students those who are applying for this scheme should be a permanent residence of West Bengal.
- Students those who are studying in class 9, 10, 11 and 12 will be eligible for this scheme
- In order to be eligible for this scheme one should be studying in a Government school or madrasahs. This scheme is only beneficial for Government school students.
