About SWAYAM CENTRAL – NPTEL
SWAYAM the online portal has been introduced in the purpose of providing created content courses ranging from secondary School level to the Post- Graduate Level in all the fields. People can learn variety of courses available on the single online portal. After the completion of courses candidates will be conducted online exam and then they will be awarded with the Certificates. The institutions that are connected with the SWAYAM online portal follow the CBCS Pattern. The online portal also provides online study material and videos on different topics related to college and University education of all over the country.
Candidates who have done their registration for the ARPIT exam can check their Admit card in the official portal as it is available from the 9th March 2020 onwards. The registration for the next session has also been started. Candidates can check all the details from the official portal.
Swayam Portal Registration Eligibility Criteria
Candidates do not need any special eligibility criteria to register in the SWAYAM online portal to study any course. The online portal has been mainly designed in order to develop the skill, knowledge and moreover to influence the Education for everyone. Any candidate irrespective age, caste, location and educational qualification can join any course available in the SWAYAN online portal.
Among the various courses offered through SWAYAM, some courses are Self- Pace and some are scheduled courses. Registration for the Self Paced courses can be done anytime according to the candidates but the candidates need to register for the scheduled courses minimum 60 days prior to the start of the courses. The registration dates of the schedule courses are available in the SWAYAM official portal.
How to Register at swayam online free Learning Portal?
- Step 1. At first visit the SWAYAM portal or Click Here.
- Step 2. Then on the homepage click on the “Register” button.
- Step 3. After that login to the portal. Candidates can also login with their Facebook, Google or Microsoft accounts or can simply click on “sign up now” option.
- Step 4. After clicking the sign up now tab, candidates need to provide all the asked details to create new account.
- Step 5. Candidates will receive a verification code in their registered email ID. Now enter the verification code and click on the “Create” button to create the Learner’s account.

After the registered candidates complete their courses they are required to appear in the online examination. This examination is basically an evaluation process hosted by the Institute and respective PI (Principal Invigilator). Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their merit in the examination. After the successfully conducting the examination the candidates are awarded with marks. The result generally releases within the 4 weeks after the completion of the final exam.
Swayam Certificate
After the declaration of the results of the candidates they are issued certificates by the PI and it is then sent to the respective institutes. The results are also declared on the SWAYAM online portal. To check the respective results of the candidates they need to visit the official portal and then click on the result link visible on the homepage. By entering the PARTICIPANT ID successfully candidates can check their results. Candidates can then even download their results for future references.
