পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পুলিশের নতুন নিয়োগের কথা ঘোষণা করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জি. দুই হাজার কুড়ি জন মহিলা কনস্টেবল নিয়োগ করা হবে এবং আগামী কিছুদিনের মধ্যেই এর নোটিফিকেশন প্রকাশিত হবে. রাজ্য পুলিশের মহিলা কনস্টেবলের ছাড়াও গোয়েন্দা বিভাগ এবং জঙ্গলমহলে বিশেষ হোম গার্ড পদে নিয়োগের কথা ও মমতা ব্যানার্জির ঘোষণা করেছেন. এরমধ্যে 1420 জনকে নিয়োগ করা হবে পুলিশের Winners Squad এ. কলকাতা পুলিশের মত এরাও স্কুটার নিয়ে বিভিন্ন এলাকায় টহল গাড়ি চালাবে. গোয়েন্দা বিভাগে 600 জন নিয়োগ করা হবে পুরুষ-মহিলা নির্বিশেষে.

Selection Process of WBP Constable
The Process of Selection in West Bengal Police Constable consist of following steps
- Preliminary Test,
- Physical Standards Test (PST),
- Physical Efficiency test (PET),
- Medical Exam.
At first, candidates need to appear in the preliminary written test. Shortlisted candidates, who will be notified through the WBP Constable Result will be called for PST & PET. Then, qualified candidates will have to appear in the medical exam.
