WB Primary TET 2023 Exam Notification: West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET) Notification for Primary School Teacher has been released on 29th September 2023. West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has announced that the Primary School Teacher TET for Classes I to V will be conducted on December 11th, 2023. The detailed notification pertaining to WB TET 2022 will be announced by the WBBPE after 14th October, 2023.

About West Bengal TET 2023:

The WB Primary TET Examination is given by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) to check if applicants are qualified to teach West Bengal students. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) sets the rules for the TET Exam, which is given at the state level. All applicants must pass the TET Exam in order to be considered for a teaching job.

Eligibility Criteria for WB Primary TET Exam 2023

Educational Qualification Requirement:

For Unreserved Candidates	HS with 50% Marks and D.El.Ed/ D.Ed/ B.El.Ed OR Graduation with 50% and B.Ed
For SC / ST / OBC / PH /Ex-Serviceman	HS with 45% Marks and D.El.Ed/ D.Ed/ B.El.Ed OR Graduation with 45% and B.Ed

Candidates Who are Pursuing B.Ed / D.El.Ed / D.Ed and Qualified in Part 1 (1st Year) Exam, are also eligible to appear in WB TET.

Steps to Download WB Primary TET Notification Advertisement 2023

As of now, only the Short TET Exam Notification for 2023 has been published. Detailed notification will be published soon. The detailed notification will be announced after 14th October 2023. As of now, students can only access the Indicative notification from WBBPE website. Here is how you can download the WBBPE TET Notification from the official portal www.wbbpe.org:

• Go to the official website www.wbbpe.org. The homepage of WB Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) will be opened.
• Now, scroll down below until you find “NOTIFICATION FOR CONDUCTION OF TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST-2023 (TET-2023) FOR CLASSES I-V” as shown in the image below:

• After that, click on the notification advertisement.
• Save the PDF file. Later open it with any PDF reader Application. Following notice will show up:

How to fill up WB Primary TET Application Form 2023

Those who want to participate in the examination have to follow certain step, which are as follows-

Step 1: In the first step, the applicants have to fill out an application form for WB Primary TET. After completion of the form filling process, upload it and also save the configuration page.

Step 2: After the form fills up, the candidate has to download the WB Primary TET admit card. The card contains details like the name of the applicant, photograph, subjects, subject code, the timing of the examination, signature, roll number, and many other things.

Step 3: In the next step, the applicant has to appear for the examination. The candidate must appear in the examination on time and also bring their admit card with them. Without an admit card, the exam controller will not allow the aspirants to attend the examination.

Step 4: Once the examination gets over, the board will start the preparation to announce the result. The result will be announced on the official site. The candidates can check their results by visiting the official site and also must know their roll number to check their results.

WB Primary TET Question Paper Pattern

Here is the examination pattern for the Paper 1 of TET Exam:

• The TET Exam will be conducted offline.
• It consists of five subjects, two of which are language papers.
• The question papers will be of objective type.
• There will be 150 questions.
• In the TET exam, the candidates have to answer all the questions.
• The languages of the question paper will be English & Bengali.
• Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer, with no negative marking for incorrect answers.
• Participants will have three hours to complete the entire paper.

WB Primary TET Exam Preparation Tips

The West Bengal Board of Primary Education will soon hold an examination for the position of teacher. Paper 1 is for Class 1 to 5. Candidates can effectively prepare by following the advice provided below.

• To qualify for the examination, candidates must consult the official site for the WB Primary TET syllabus. A part form does not leave out any topics from the syllabus.
• Situational questions are also asked in the examination, so the candidate must have good communication skills as well as the ability to handle difficult situations.
