Details of WB Scholarship 2023
West Bengal Government has launched various Scholarship scheme to support the meritorious and needy students of the state west Bengal. The WB Scholarship 2023 program is functioned by the Subsidiary departments. The main aim of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the needy and underprivileged students of West Bengal so that they can pursue their dreams of completing higher studies.
This WB Scholarship 2023 is also taken by different renowned Institutions of Higher Education of West Bengal. This is a great initiative taken in the field of education that has created much more opportunities in West Bengal.

Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship 2023
Applicable to: The applicants must be the girls’ students for this WB Scholarship 2023 and they must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
Eligibility: The students who are pursuing their Under Graduation course in the field of Science / Medicine / Engineering from any recognized Institute in West Bengal and have qualified 12th Boards exam successfully from a recognized board can apply for the WB Scholarship.
Purpose: This WB Scholarship is mainly launched for the girl students in the purpose of promoting the Higher Education of Girls and to uplift their talent.
Scholarship Stipend Amount: Applicants can get scholarship amount of monthly 3,000/- Rs. The scholarship also covers the annual book expenses of students worth Rs 2,000.
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for Minorities
This scholarship is a very popular merit-cum-means based Scholarship.
Eligibility: The candidates who have qualified class 10th exam can apply for this scholarship for their further studies. This WB Scholarship is given to the students who belongs the Minority community.
Stipend Amount: Applicants can get the benefit of scholarship amount of monthly up to 8,000/-Rs. The scholarship amount will depend on the course and the level of education of the candidates. Applicants merit in the qualifying examination and financial draw back are considered for the WB Scholarship 2023.

Post Matric Scholarship for SC ST OBC
This scholarship is run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department of West Bengal.
Purpose of the Scholarship: The main purpose of this scholarship is to give financial support to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category and is pursuing Post matriculation or Post secondary level education so that they can continue their higher studies. So the students of 11th & 12th, Graduation and post graduation can get the WB Scholarship 2023 benefit of Rs 160/- to Rs 1200.

WB Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

| Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities, West Bengal | Only the residents of West Bengal pursuing Hs or diploma and have scored at least 75% in 10th exam can apply. Applicants, who are pursuing UG courses, should have got minimum 75% marks in class 12th. Applicants, who are pursuing UG courses should have scored minimum 53% marks in graduation (in general education) or 55% marks (in engineering) Applicant’s annual family should be not more than INR 2.5 Lakh. |
| Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship, West Bengal | Only the girl students who are resident of West Bengal and have completed class 12th from recognized board and pursuing Engineering, Medicine or Basic Science at a renowned institution in West Bengal are eligible. |
| WB Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC | Only the residents of West Bengal and belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and are studying in Class 11, 12, Graduation or Post graduation can apply. The annual family income of SC/ST students should be between INR 2 Lakh to INR 2.5 Lakh. The annual family income of OBC students should be within INR 1 Lakh per. |
| WB Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC ST Students | Only the residents of West Bengal belonging to SC or ST category and studying in class 9 to 10 can apply. The applicant’s annual family income should not be more than INR 2 Lakh. |
| Hindi Scholarship | Only the residents of west Bengal and belonging to a non-Hindi speaking state and must have cleared madhyamik, higher secondary, graduation, PG or any equivalent degree course with minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination at first attempt with Hindi as compulsory subject are eligible to apply. |
