The eligibility criteria for setting up a petrol pump are as follows:

1	The applicant must be an Indian citizen. No applicant belonging to any other nationality would be permitted to get the dealership of a petrol pump in India.
2	If the applicant is an NRI, he/she should have lived in India for at least 180 days. Only then would an NRI be considered eligible for getting a petrol pump dealership in India.
3	The minimum age limit of the applicant is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 55 years. Citizens who are less than 21 years old or more than 55 years of age are not eligible for petrol pump dealerships.
4	If the applicant belongs to SC/ST or OBC category then he or she must have at least passed the 10th standard. If the applicant is from the general category then the minimum educational qualification required is higher secondary or class 12.
5	In case anyone is interested to set up the pump in a rural area then it is mandatory to submit a copy of the applicant’s class 10 marksheet. This serves as age proof.
6	In order to get a dealership for setting up a petrol pump in an urban area, the applicant must have completed graduation or must have an equivalent degree.

Application Fees for Applying against Petrol Pump Dealer Chayan Advertisements

An application fee of Rs. 10,000 is applicable for regular petrol pump outlets while the application fee in rural areas is Rs. 8,000. There is a waiver of 50% in application fees for applicants belonging to the SC/ST category. The application fee is to be paid to the concerned oil company during registration through demand draft. 2. The bidding process of selection would be allowed only for Corporation Owned Dealer operated sites except for Corpus Fund sites where lots are drawn. Although, if there happens to be a tie in the bid amount, lots will be drawn among the bidders who are tied up.
