Disability Pension in West Bengal 2023: The West Bengal government offers the benefits of the monthly pension scheme to disabled persons or citizens in West Bengal. The Disability Pension or “Protibondhi Bhata” pension scheme is applicable to all disabled persons offered the Social welfare department. This scheme of pension doesn’t bound to any caste, religion, or gender but is only applicable to disabled persons of any caste, religion, or gender. This scheme of pension is also known as “Protibondhi Bhata” that is launched by the Government of West Bengal for providing financial support to the disabled persons of the state of West Bengal.
The pension is targeted for the disabled persons and is provided by the chief minister relief fund. The Protibondhi Bhata Scheme offers benefits to many disabled people in West Bengal to get relief from financial burdens.

কারা প্রতিবন্ধী ভাতা পাবেন?
(ক) প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তিকে ভারতের একজন নাগরিক এবং পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বাসিন্দা হতে হবে।
(খ) প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তির পারিবারিক আয়, যদি থাকে, ১,০০০ টাকার কম হতে হবে।
(গ) প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তিকে সংশ্লিষ্ট মেডিকেল অফিসার শারীরিক কাজের জন্য অনুপযুক্ত ঘোষণা করেছেন।
(d) প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তি পেনশনের জন্য আবেদন করার তারিখে 10 বছরের কম সময় ধরে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্যের বাসিন্দা হতে হবে।
কোথায় প্রতিবন্ধী ভাতার আবেদন পত্র পাওয়া যাবে?
পেনশনের জন্য আবেদনপত্র (ফর্ম-পি) নিম্নলিখিত অফিস থেকে বিনামূল্যে পাওয়া যেতে পারে:
- ব্লক ডেভেলপমেন্ট অফিসারের (BDO Office) কার্যালয় বা সংশ্লিষ্ট পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির কার্যনির্বাহী আধিকারিকের ক্ষেত্রে আবেদনকারী ওই পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির অধীনে গ্রামীণ এলাকায় বসবাস করেন,
- মহকুমা আধিকারিকের কার্যালয় এবং
- ভ্যাগ্রান্সি কন্ট্রোলার অফিস, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পূর্ত ভবন, বিধান নগর, কলকাতা-700091- Office এ.
আবেদন পত্র কোথায় জমা দিতে হবে?
নিচে দেওয়া ঠিকানা গুলিতে আপনারা প্রতিবন্ধী ভাতার ফরম পূরণ করে জমা করতে পারবেন:
| 1 | The District Magistrate of the concerned District and shall be submitted to the Block Development Officer or the Executive Officer of the Panchayat Samity in case of the applicant residing in the rural areas under a Panchayat Samity; |
| 2 | The District magistrate of the concerned District and Shall be submitted to the Sub-Divisional Officer in case of the applicant residing in Municipal / Notified areas outside the areas of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. |
| 3 | The Controller of Vagrancy, West Bengal and shall be submitted to the Controller Vagrancy West Bengal in case of the applicant residing within the areas under Kolkata Municipal Corporation. |
Eligibility of Disability Pension West Bengal 2023
There are certain criteria to fulfill for getting the eligibility position of receiving a pension from the scheme of disability pension West Bengal. So, for the eligibility criteria, the person should fulfill the first condition that declares their physical health condition. The disabled person doesn’t have work or the family should not have many income sources that are the income should not exceed the mentioned limit for the pension scheme.

- The application form includes the complete details of disabled persons related to their medical certificate, personal details, and income certificate.
- These filled application form gets submitted to the block development department of the particular city in the state of West Bengal.
- The application form is submitted to the panchayat committee if the disabled person lives in a rural area. In urban areas where the city comes under municipal rules and regulations, then, to submit the application form is submitted to the sub-divisional officer.
