About Uttarakhand Open University (UOU)
On 31 October 2005, the Uttarakhand Open University was established under the act of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. The main purpose of establishing the university is to democratize education for the benefit of students so that they get knowledge of different courses from affiliated colleges. It’s the only university in Uttarakhand that provide facilities for distance education. The main goal of the university is to teach a lot of students by using communication technology.
