WBCAP 2024 Online College Admission in West Bengal for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com

West Bengal College Admission Portal (WBCAP) 2024 Portal has been opened now. Students can apply through the URL https://wbcap.in. To apply for various Undergraduate Courses such as B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.C.A, B.B.A etc. students need to submit online admission form. From this session 2024-25, the online admission process in Colleges in WB will be completely centralized.

UPDATE: Centralized Admission Process started from 24th June. Students have to register online through the WBCAP.in portal. Last date of submitting online admission form is 7th July 2024.

How to Fill up WBCAP College 1st Year Online Application Form?

First step is Registration through www.wbcap.in:

Step 1: Go to the WBCAP 2024 Portal and click on “Register“.

Step 2: Then, enter your mobile number and email id and click on “Submit“

Step 3: In the next page, provide your personal details such as – Name, Address, HS Roll Number, Registration Number, Mobile OTP & EMail OTP, HS Passing year etc. Upload scanned copy of your Registration Certificate/Documents showing Unique ID Number. Then, click on submit button.

Step 4: After successful completion of registration, your USER ID will be generated.

Login by User ID & Password:

After your registration is complete, click on “Student Login” button. Enter your User ID and Password. Then click on “Login” button.

A OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Provide the OTP and click on Verify and Login.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must have passed higher secondary from a recognized board.
• He/she must have secured at least 50% in the 10+2 level examinations. However, for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Serviceman category students, there is a relaxation of 5%.
• The student must have studied the language which is his/her chosen medium of language in college. English should be the second language.
• A student belonging to the general category should not be more than 35 years of age while applying for admission in WB Govt Colleges. For SC/ST students the age limit is 40 years while for OBC students, it is 35.

Despite being under the same state government or the same university, the Centralized admission dates might differ. Thus, keep a lookout on the official websites of your shortlisted colleges. As soon as they begin accepting applications their websites will be updated.

When 1st Year College Admission will start in Colleges in West Bengal?

Even though WB College admissions haven’t started yet, the application process is more or less similar for all WB government colleges. WBCHSE will supervise the admission procedure. Guidelines for the New Centralized College Admission Process through WBCAP.in

• Once the colleges start accepting applications for the current session, there will be a new option to apply for the current session on the college websites. Click on the option.
• A page containing the application form will appear.
• Fill in all the required details and upload the documents mentioned earlier. Make sure to upload them in the specific format and size asked.
• After filling up the form, you will be required to enter your class X and class XII marks in a table. Only if you are eligible, would you be permitted to proceed with the application.
• If you are eligible, you can choose your preferred course and pay the WB College Admission Online application form fill up fees.
