  3. After receiving the verification certificate, you need to visit the BDO office once again. Make sure to carry the police verification certificate along with the other required documents mentioned above.
  4. You will then be provided with the application form. You may be required to submit a written application in an A4 size blank paper instead, in the format prescribed.
  5. After filling up the form/writing the application, submit it along with the other documents at the BDO office.
  6. After submission, they will check your application and if everything seems correct, they will issue a record number for your reference.
  7. All the information provided will be verified at ground level in the applicant’s locality. The documents submitted will also be thoroughly scrutinized by the concerned officials.
  8. If after the verification process, the whole application turns out to be genuine, the officials concerned will report this to the authority. Only then would your character certificate be issued by the government.
