Allowances in Salary Component of Primary School Teachers:
There are three allowances which are provided to the Primary School Teacher and these are:
1. DA – Dearness Allowance or DA is provided as per the existing rate of the Govt. of West Bengal. These rate changes frequently as per the direction of Department of Finance. At the timing of writing this article, DA is 6% of basic (w.e.f. 01/03/2023).
2. HRA – House Rent Allowance or HRA is the component of gross salary which is given a to employee to cover the expense of renting an accommodation. HRA for Primary School Teacher is 12% of basic salary scale as per 7th Pay Commission.
3. MA – Medical Allowance or MA is Rs. 500 fixed for the Primary School Teachers as per present rule. This is given to the employees to cover Medical expenditures.

- Download the Pay Slip and save it in your mobile.
