We have a good news for the Government Employees for the Country! The Central Government is going to set up committee on 8th Pay Commission very soon. The Central Pay Commission (CPC) will recommend changes of the Salary Structure or the pay matrix based on various inputs. In this post, we will update each and every information regarding 8th CPC.

8th Pay Commission Salary Increase
After the 8th Pay Commission, salary of the Government Employees are going to be increase. The Salary hike rate or the rate of increase of the Monthly Salary will depend on the Multiplication Factor of the Basic Salary.
What will be the Multiplication Factor for 8th CPC?
The 7th Pay Commission’s Multiplication Factor was 2.57. That means, if you were getting Rs. 100/-, then you would be getting Rs. 257/- after the 7th Pay Commission was applicable.
It is expected, the that 8th Pay Commission Multiplication Factor may be somewhere between 2 to 3.
So, the Government Employees can see their salary increase from Double to Triple. The percentage increase of 8th CPC should be around 200% to 300%.
8th CPC Pay Matrix
The Pay Matrix of 8th Pay Commission is yet to be finalized. The Commission will formulate the policy to implement new pay matrix.
The Pay Matrix has following components:
- Level of Pay,
- Pay Bank,
- Basic Salary.

The increase will be in accordance with the values indicated in the vertical cells corresponding to the relevant level in the Pay Matrix.
Date of Implementation of 8th Central Pay Commission
As per the Recommendation of the Central Pay Commission, the 8th CPC Revised Pay Structure will be applicable. The previous 7th CPC was implemented from 1st January, 2016.
The applicable date for 8th CPC is expected to be 1st January 2026.
The government employees are going to have their salary hike either on January 1st or July 1st, instead of just July 1st like before.
8th Pay Commission Pension Rules:
At least 55 lakh pre-2016 civil and defence pensioners and family pensioners will get benefit from the 8th CPC. The revised table for 8th CPC for the pensioners will be formulated as per various unofficial sources.
The rules will be in accordance with the recommendation of the pay commission. The calculator for new pension as per the 8th CPC will be enacted once the Union Cabinet approves the decision of the committee.
